Terms of service

Last updated: 30 October 2026

These terms are the rules for using Scout (scoutopportunities.com), a free website where students find and keep track of insight days, events, competitions, programmes, internships and courses. Scout is run by Carlo Celano, Turin, Italy. By creating an account or using Scout you accept these terms. How we handle your personal data is explained in the privacy policy. Questions: contact@scoutopportunities.com.

Your account

Using Scout fairly

Don't use Scout to:

You can report a message or a person from the chat or their profile. An admin reviews every report.

What you post

What you write and upload (your profile, photo, messages, CV and the opportunities you add) stays yours. You allow Scout to store it and show it to the people you choose, only to run the service. Profile pictures are checked automatically before others can see them. We can remove anything that breaks these terms.

Opportunities and verdicts

Paid features

Scout is free. Some extras, like the clean download of the CV builder, cost money; the price is shown before you pay. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy as the seller of record, so their terms apply to the purchase, including refunds and your rights as a consumer.

Suspension

If an account breaks these terms, we can remove content, limit features or suspend the account, depending on how serious it is. If you think we got it wrong, write to us and we'll look again.

If something goes wrong

We work to keep Scout accurate and online, but it's offered as it is, and features can change, pause or stop. We aren't responsible for opportunities run by others, for what other users post, or for indirect losses such as a missed deadline. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under consumer law, or our liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited (for example for intent or gross negligence).

Law

These terms are governed by Italian law. If you live in another EU country, you keep the protections of your own country's consumer law and can go to the courts where you live.

Changes

When these terms change, we update the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll tell you in Scout before it applies.
